The Thompson Flats were built in 1900. We fully renovated all 12 apartments in 2018 while preserving their unique historic character. Each apartment has individually controlled heat and air conditioning, and refinished hardwood floors and woodwork. We installed new bathrooms with in-floor ceramic tile heat, new kitchens with granite counters, Marvin thermal windows for energy efficiency and noise insulation, and energy efficient LED lighting. The Thompson Flats is located across the street from the Basilica and a half block from Loring Park. Apartment 35 is on the top floor of the building with windows looking across Hennepin Avenue to the Basilica. There is an additional charge of $40 per month for the apartment's dedicated Wi-Fi internet service from the building's US Internet fiber connection and trash.
